INTRODUCTION TO TRAIL BUILDING WORKSHOP

10 AM until 1:00 Bring food to share for lunch
We'll begin with a 45 minute video about trail building basics. Then we'll discuss some basic concepts and answer any questions. Then we will head outside to demonstrate how to lay out a trail and how to do some tread construction. Presenter: Mike Goodwin of the Kansas Trails Council, who develop trails for public access. The KTC is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that helps to create trails for public access in city and state parks. Participants should wear long pants, sturdy boots and eye protection…dress for the weather but warm inside.
