Fighting for Josie and Lenna. Aplastic anemia awareness. We are organizing a community centered concert. Free Admission. Live music, local beer, and concessions to raise funds for Josie (13) and Lenna (7) Wendt, two young sisters from Overbrook, KS, who are fighting aplastic anemia and need bone marrow transplants. Their parents, Brad and Courtney Wendt, are both graduates of BHS. The girls’ grandparents and extended family live in Baldwin and its surrounding areas. The family is facing overwhelming medical and travel expenses. This event will not only help cover those costs but also raise awareness about the need for bone marrow donors, encouraging attendees to join the National Marrow Donor Program registry at the event.
