Marta Jardon will talk about Life Along the Santa Fe Trail in Douglas County: 1821-1870. She will talk about how, when, and why the Santa Fe Trail was started. She will talk about the Santa Fe Trail routes that run through Douglas County and which sites are available to visit. She will describe the daily life of those traveling the Trail, like food and entertainment. She also has hands-on activities such as Santa Fe Trail's Trunk of artifacts, making yarn dolls, games and coloring pages. This is a very interesting talk for all ages. Bring your whole family.
