Maple Leaf Festival History Exhibit - Opening

  • Lumberyard Arts Center 718 High Street Baldwin City, KS, 66006 United States (map)

Enjoy a walk down memory lane of the sixty-six year history of Maple Leaf Festival. You will travel the Founders path as you explore the magic of parades, variety of creative artistry, taste of festival food, music to sing along or dance to, historic tours and plays, and reminisce of earlier years of fun.

This professional display is a joint effort of Maple Leaf Festival Committee, Baldwin City Library, Baker Collins Library, Lumberyard Arts Center, and Watkins Museum of History. The exhibit showcases the cumulated historical themes of ‘Founders & Firsts,’ ‘Bands & Booths,’ ‘Food & Fun,’ and ‘Community and Commitment.’ Throughout the year, the exhibit is on display at the Chamber of Commerce.

Your participation in the festival whether as an attendee or behind the scenes worker, has made the festival what it is today! The display reflects Baldwin City’s rich community heritage and commitment in action. While viewing the exhibit, please add your memories to the Festival Memory Book. View Facebook Event
