The Prairie City Cemetery is a historical cemetery, established 1855 and located just southwest of Baldwin City, which is requesting assistance with their tombstone cleaning project this fall. 

It is finally time to begin cleaning the tombstones with the grant funds we received earlier this year!

We will work on the following Saturdays from 9-12 at the cemetery.

Sept. 21 | Sept. 28 | Oct. 12 | Oct. 26

• Meet at the Pavilion.

• Wear: clothes & shoes that can get dirty.

• Bring: 

• Goggles (if you want them) 

• Chair or stool (if you want one)

• Snacks & water

• Sunscreen

We will teach you how to clean the stones and will tell you which ones are to be cleaned.  We have a few hundred in all to do - so no one should get bored.  We will bring all of the supplies needed.
