The Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, member-supported organization of business, industrial, and professional people who are dedicated to developing, promoting, and maintaining a sound and healthy economic climate for our community. We are currently 165 members strong and bring the best minds within the community and business leaders together to touch virtually every aspect of community life. Our program of work involves convention and tourism assistance, community strategic planning, heritage interpretation, small business assistance, and promotion of the Baldwin city area to those looking for a new home or just a day trip.

Have you recently moved to our area? Contact our office to receive a “Welcome” Packet from the members of the Chamber. We supply phone books, area maps and information about area activities as well. We can deliver your packet at your convenience!
Interested in visiting Baldwin City? We offer various day trips and tours of our historical sites, attractions and shops. Contact our office for assistance in planning your trip! We also offer a quarterly newsletter that contains information about our upcoming events and specials being offered by our retail shops. Purchase Gift Certificates that are redeemable at any Baldwin Business! “Baldwin Bucks” are available in increments of $1-25 and can be purchased at Baldwin State Bank, Mid-America Bank and Kansas State Bank.

November 14:
Retail Open Houses
These retailers will be open from 10am-5pm offering specials and refreshments: Antiques on the Prairie, The Bittersweet Vine, Kiss Me Kate’s, The Pink Lady and the Vintage Flea Antique Mall.
November 28 events:
Breakfast with Santa at Baldwin Intermediate Center, begins at 9 a.m. All you can eat pancakes, picture with Santa & crafts for the kids. $6 advance tickets at BCRC Office or $8 at the door. Baldwin Community Arts Council annual Art Sale in the Lumberyard Arts Center from 10am-7pm. on the 28th and from 10am-4pm on Dec. 5th. Artists that are interested in participating should contact Sherry at 785-766-1793 or Diane at 785-766-0218.
That evening, the Holiday Lights Parade & Community Tree Lighting will be at 6pm. The downtown shops will be open and the Recreation office will hold their annual gift give-away following the parade. We invite you to participate in the parade! An application can be found here.
December 5:
Vintage Park of Baldwin City Community Holiday Open House and Bazaar 9:00a.m. To 1:00 p.m. This is an event for the residents, families and community! We will be having holiday treats. The residents will decorate their rooms for the Holiday season! Jewelry, Avon, Pampered Chef, Gold Canyon Candles, Homemade Bird Houses; lots of crafts, oil paintings with much more to come. Space is available -please call Sue, Linda or Shelley at 594-4255 for information.
