The Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, member-supported organization of business, industrial, and professional people who are dedicated to developing, promoting, and maintaining a sound and healthy economic climate for our community. We are currently 165 members strong and bring the best minds within the community and business leaders together to touch virtually every aspect of community life. Our program of work involves convention and tourism assistance, community strategic planning, heritage interpretation, small business assistance, and promotion of the Baldwin city area to those looking for a new home or just a day trip.

COMMUNITY NEWS

Vintage Park at Baldwin City is offering a “$1000 Move-in Special” for anyone making a deposit on an apartment by September 30, 2010. Take a tour and director Sue Brown can show you how much easier life can be! Call her at 785-594-4255 to schedule your tour.

Are you willing to share your time and skills? Several area groups are seeking volunteers to assist with various events that will be taking place this summer. The Chamber office and Lumberyard Arts Center are also seeking volunteers. For a list of area organizations, please visit our business directory and search for “organizations”.

The Baldwin City Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday morning, along High Street next to the Post Office. A wide variety of produce, baked goods, dog treats, eggs, jams & jellies and even homemade burritos are available.

Starting June 9th, Kiss Me Kate’s will be open for dinner on Wednesday and Thursday Nites and will also be open during Art Walks!  Summer hours are as follows
