There will be vendors, open storefronts, live music, activities for all ages, and a free outdoor movie.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
5:00 pm
: Ice cream freezing begins on the patio at 703 8th St.
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm:  Artist Reception at Lumberyard Arts Center featuring
                                  Jettisoned Revival by Nick Schmiedeler. The pieces on display convey the simple thought that even forgotten, discarded, neglected, and abandoned small bits and pieces of our lives can be brought back into a new light, and assembled together for run, or utilitarian , or ridiculous purposes.
                                   Harley: A Life in Color by Harley Swanson. A vibrant tribute to the imagination, creativity, and legacy of Harley Swanson. Featuring bold acrylic paintings, pop art portraits, whimsical creations, and photography inspired by the beauty of God's word.
6:00 pm: Street Vendors and Storefronts open
               Activities at booths:
                Baldwin City Creative Arts: coloring pages, giveaways, information about fall classes, free ballet class, and bubbles!
                Buck's Honey Bee Company: observe a hive of bees at work
               Lawrence Model Railroad Club: interactive activity: a train switching puzzle
                Santa Fe Trail Historical Society: make a paper quilt block like the pioneers
6:45 pm: Mobile Dairy Classroom with Kari from Southwest Dairy Farmers will be located in the 8th Street ally between Grove and High Streets. Kari will demonstrate how to milk a cow, describe how milk goes from the farm to the consumer, and answer questions from the audience. Kari will only be at the market from 6:30 - 7:45 so be sure to stop by for her presentation at 6:45.
7:30 pm: Homemade ice cream available for $1 a scoop or $6 for a sampler platter at 703 Eighth Street.
7:30 - 9 pm: Live music featuring Sky Smeed on the stage in Sullivan Square. Coordinated by Lumberyard Arts Center. Sponsored by Z's Divine Espresso
                      An evening of live folk music with Kansas singer-songwriter Sky Smeed, celebrating the release of his tenth album, Live at the Rock House.

July 17

The July Third Friday Market is a quintessential small town America experience. There will be vendors, open storefronts, live music, and activities for all ages including

Mural Scavenger Hunt (thank you Lumberyard Arts Center)
Watermelon eating and seed spitting contests with free watermelon slices following.

A vendor list will be available closer to the market date.

6:00 pm: Vendors and activities open.
               Food Trucks: AI Tasty Delights and Taco Via
6:30 pm: Watermelon contests start in Sullivan Square. There will be three age groups: 0-6 years; 7-12 years; 13 and up.
7:15 - 8:45 pm: Live music featuring Pastense Bluegrass Band on the stage in Sullivan Square.
9:00 pm: Outdoor movie in Sullivan Square: GOAT

August 21

August Third Friday Market brings back a community favorite activity! Along with vendors, open storefronts, live music, and activities for all ages there will be a community water fight with the Baldwin City Fire Department. Water guns are welcome but water balloons are not.

A vendor list will be available closer to the market date.

6:00 pm: Vendors and activities open including a soil trailer with Douglas County Conservation District
                Food Trucks: The Mad Greek and Taco Via
7:30 - 9 pm: Live music featuring The Lintners on the stage in Sullivan Square. Sponsored by Standard Grooming Supply.

September 18

The final Third Friday Market is one last opportunity to savor the remnants of summer. There will be vendors, open storefronts, live music, and activities for all ages including

Pollinator activity with Vinland Valley Nursery
Petting zoo with Misfit Meadows including miniature donkeys, alpacas, and goats.

A vendor list will be available closer to the market date.

6:00 pm: Vendors and activities open
7:30 - 9 pm: Live music featuring Rosewood & Rosin on the stage in Sullivan Square. Sponsored by Hometown Construction.
